Jin Shin Jyutsu
Girija also offers Jin Shin Jyutsu, an ancient energy healing modality, which she studied while living at Rigdzin Ling. This profound energy work heals, balances and rejuvenates. It produces a shift in energy to a balanced state, akin to the relaxed yet fully present state of meditation. The effects are cumulative and provide a portal to awareness utilizing the body.
Jin Shin Jyutsu has been translated to mean the art of the Divine Creative Force through the compassionate man/woman. It came to the West from Japan through Master Jiro Murai and Mary Burmeister, yet originated in India in ancient times.
In a Jin Shin Jyutsu session, which typically lasts an hour, your energy is read through listening to twelve pulses similar to Chinese medicine. Then, a number of flows are selected to address the imbalances and disharmonies read in the pulses. In the flows, a series of points which are called the twenty-six “safety energy locks”, are gently applied to your fully clothed body.
This profound modality describes an interwoven and embedded series of energetic “depths” ranging from the ninth depth, which is limitless energy containing infinite possibilities of creation, through the eighth and seventh depths, which are levels at which energy begins to take form, and finally containing the sixth through first depths at which the energy is “densed” down into the various aspects of the human form.
During the flows, energy at different levels is connected to the Divine Creative Force, returning the system to its original harmony and balance, which has been called “the blueprint” in Jin Shin Jyutsu. This connection has a profound healing effect at all levels of being. When energetic imbalances are corrected, active as well as latent diseases are cleared, mental and emotional stress is alleviated and an overall sense of balance and connectedness ensues. Ideally the result is a shift in energy to a grounded and harmonious state in which the energy is flowing in the central channel, which is one definition of meditation.
One hour session $60.
